“Go to your room, while I do some cleaning,” said Mrs. Briar.
“OK.” said Timothy, as he plopped up the stairs two at a time.
Croak, croak! Timothy paused at the top of the stairs and listened for the deep echo of the frog.

Timothy frantically searched upstairs for the frog. The little bear emptied dressers, turned shoes upside down, and checked the upstairs closet filled with dust bunnies, and spooky creeks and crawlies.
The noise began to seem like a distant memory, until Timothy entered the bathroom.
